A few days ago the dutch website of Grazia posted a great article that really is based on trends and a
little more uniqueness instead of what most of the people are now wearing (if you look at the Netherlands).
Not that they don't spent time at their looks, of course they do but I just find it so sad that real
fashion is so far behind if you look at other countries. (but little by little we're moving, go holland!)
Now something about these girls that you all know. Fashiongirls... Girls who 'love' fashion but
only know brands like Chanel and Gucci. Girls who don't really know the real designers like
Alexander Wang and Acne. Girls who like to show off their designer clothes with the all known
prints like burberry and not the beautiful items were you can't really see it's from burberry.
And at last girls that 'love' vintage because it's trend and bought vintage close for the price of brand
new clothes, not because they like to search between a big mountain of second hand clothes and
find a treasure in them and love it because it gives the outfit an unique touch but because they can say
Fashion don't have to be expensive, you can find beautiful thinks on the sale, on markets and
affordable stores. The message that I want to give you is: no matter what you wear, wear it
with confidence and because you feel good in it not because it's a trend or everybody is wearing it.
And not to forget, respect for other personal styles. They may hate your clothes too but you're
not going to wear something else just because the don't like it do you?
Some of you may have other thoughts or opinions about this subject and I love that because if
everybody thinks the same about things this world would be quite boring don't you think?
